Judi received her BS in Biology from Millikin University in 1984 and her MS in Physical Therapy from Andrews University in 1989. She has spent her entire career in orthopaedics with a strong emphasis on spine. She opened her practice in St. Charles in 1993 due to growing dissatisfaction with the trend towards treating multiple patients for shorter periods of time. Judi enjoys hands on approach to patient care. To offer more treatment options to her patients, she became certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling and has been a Certified Kinesiotape Practitoner since 2011. Judi is also a LSVT BIG certified clinician working with people with Parkinson’s. In her spare time she volunteers with Rock Steady Boxing for Parkinson’s and is an affiliate coach. She is a clinical instructor for NIU and COD. Judi is an active member of the APTA and IPTA.
Kate received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1991. Kate joined the team at Backworks in 2007. Since the time of her graduation, she has focused her continuing education on treating Orthopaedic conditions. Her continuing education includes osteopathic muscle energy techniques; manual therapy techniques for mobilization of the spine, peripheral joints, soft tissues, and neural systems.
Martha graduated with a BS degree in Biology from the University of Notre Dame in 1983 and furthered her education at Emory University in 1986 with a Masters of Physical Therapy. She has worked in a variety of healthcare settings including inpatient, home health and outpatient orthopedics with a special interest in spine rehab. In 2018 she became C1 certified in Schroth Principles for Scoliosis at the Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School. Martha is a two time employee of Backworks, having worked here from 2004-2006 and returned to us in 2019. Her return was sparked by her strong desire to get back to working in a more hands-on setting, focused on providing more personal and custom PT care.
